Hi fellow Verblingers! Is American English "better", or is British English "better"? In what way(s)? What about South African English, or Kiwi English, or Canadian English, or Australian English, or Irish English, or any other variety of native-speaker English?
If you're a learner, do you try to focus on only one "type" of English, or do you consider it important to learn various/all varieties of English?
If you're a teacher, do you consider your own variety of English to be the best, just because it's yours; or do you acknowledge the possibility that although you dearly love the way you personally use English, some other variety is "the best"?
