Hello English leaners!

Learn with Em for a uniquely personal and passionate language learning experience!

I'm a native English speaker with a degree in Modern Languages so I'm fluent in French and Italian and love to share my passion for languages with others.

I have experience teaching in Italy to students from various backgrounds (not just native Italians), of various ages (5-55), various abilities and in various capacities. I have taught one-on-one tuition classes, focusing on grammar, phonetics and conversation, or a mixture of everything! I have taught through play, visual methods, audio methods and with more traditional approaches.

Essentially I try to tailor every class to the individuals own way of learning; some of prefer to talk freely, others find pictures and words useful, and some even movement. In this way I try to really get to know my students in order to find their optimum way of learning.

I also have experience teaching english through content, this means teaching school subjects such as biology and geography to classes of students in English, and have carried out several studies/written a paper on the aspects and effectiveness of this, so if learning English through a subject that interests you is your thing, I can make this work too.
