If you are a new student looking to improve your English, your first lesson will be 10% off! :)
My name is Ellary, and I currently live in San Francisco, California. I recently got my TEFL certification through the International TEFL Academy (ITA).
For me, teaching is an extremely important job, as you are in charge for someone's education on a certain topic. Students put their time, money, effort, and trust into you as a teacher, so it is important to do the best you can!
Being a language lover and learner myself, I understand the difficulties students face when learning a language. Speaking with another person in their target language is the most important, and often the hardest part about learning a language. I know I sure do get anxious and struggle when I try to speak to another in their language! But in the end, it will be worth it. Even just speaking in your target language for an hour a day can really make a difference.
For me, I understand that everyone learns differently. Some learn better with task-based lessons, some learn better more independently, some are visual learners, and some learn better bu auditory means. Everyone learns at a different pace and in their own way, so it's important for me to understand how a student learns best. Finding out a student's interests and hobbies is important to me, as I can incorporate them into the lesson, making it more fun and interesting for them. I am very friendly, patient, and adjust my lessons accordingly to different students. We always end up having a great time, because learning should be fun and not a chore!
