I have been a professional teacher on italki for almost 4 years and I hope to continue for a long time, I love teaching Spanish and getting to know students from all over the place.
If you have a chance please watch my video and read the comments as a reference to my work and my commitment to my students.
I started teaching Spanish as a part-time job a little bit more than 3 years ago, with time I learned the grammatical and technical aspects of the language so I could be a professional teacher.
Now is my full-time job and I dedicate completely to it, giving 7 to 8 lessons per day. I have taken different courses so that I could understand and explain all the tenses including; the difference between the past tenses, subjunctive (how to detect it), the simplicity of future tense and rarities or exceptions that we have in the language.
I have worked as a translator consultant for an Australian researcher and currently, I am working with a New Zeland businessman to develop a language app.
I normally work with GOOGLE DOCUMENTS, GOOGLE SPREADSHEETS, PDFS, ARTICLES FROM THIS WEBSITE: muyinteresante.com.mx AND SHORT STORIES.
If I could summarise my teaching style in a short list, it would be like this:
- Asking a lot of questions from basic to more complex so that the student knows how to answer them.
- Correcting almost everything (giving the chance to the student to talk and finish the sentence), always giving the most common way to say or pronounce words or phrases.
- Propose different topics and materials to have a dynamic lesson.
- Explaining and solving a doubt in English and after it, asking the student to give some examples in Spanish.
