My name is Andrea Sibella, I am from France and I am currently living in the South of France with my family. I have been working as a counselor with kids for 6 years but I would like to teach languages now.
I travelled a lot and lived in other countries. Indeed I studied for one year in Italy, then I lived in New Zealand for a year and work and live in the USA for 4 months. Thank to those experiences I am now fluent in Italian and English.
I also have a degree in "languages and literature" in English and Italian. I have always enjoyed learning languages and teaching my native language. Indeed I had a French teacher experience in the US last summer. The children were in French immersion in this French Camp, they learn every day about french culture and every morning I leaded French classes with an American counselor. Most of my groups had a beginner to intermediate level. As it was not a language school, we had the chance to teach French with an entertaining approach. We adapted our class depending on the dynamic and energy of the group. For example, my best memory in French class was with a group who was constantly talking about a TV Show (The Office), we then decided to translate an episod from English to French with them and they performed it in French in front all the other kids. I think that the most important is to make sure the learner is enjoying his time during the class and passionated in the topics we choose.
I have tried many different jobs in the past years and I am always willing to learn new skills. Also, the fact that I moved many times and lived in different countries helps me to adapt myself in various environment. I would be happy to prepare my language classes making sure it is personalized and adapted to the person I am teaching to.
I really hope I could get a chance to work with you to practice and improve my teaching skills thank to Verbling.
