Über Mich

I originally come from Australia and I have travelled and lived all over the world, in England, Turkey, Hong Kong and – most recently – beautiful Switzerland. I am a native English speaker and qualified English as a Second Language teacher for Secondary School and I have extensive experience teaching English to students from across a range of ages, educational and cultural backgrounds, including at a number of schools and tertiary institutions in Australia and also in England. I also have experience developing and delivering course content, conducting tutorials and marking exams and assessment materials.

I very much enjoy my interaction with students and the stimulating exchange of ideas that teaching brings. And, of course, having lived in so many different places I have also been a language student once or twice myself! As a result, I understand from how much commitment and time it takes and I bring this personal experience to my teaching. I am patient and encouraging and know that frequent repetition and making mistakes are all part of the learning process. I am also a huge fan of on-line language learning – I have been learning online myself for about four years now and I absolutely recommend it to everyone I meet, who is interested in learning a new language.

One of the biggest advantages of learning online is that it is so flexible and convenient. If you don't see a class time which is currently suitable for you, please send me a message and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
