Hello, everyone! My name is Lusine. I was born in Armenia, and I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Linguistics and Pedagogy from Yerevan State Linguistic University in Armenia, as well as a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and Philology from St. Petersburg State University in Russia. I have 11 years of experience as a tutor teaching both Armenian and Russian. I am qualified in Russian-English and English-Armenian translation. My language lessons are focused on developing language skills such as grammar, reading, oral and written speech, and phonetics. My lessons are based on special teaching methods which help develop your communication abilities in the shortest possible time. All lessons are tailored to your specific needs and level. Feel free to take Armenian lessons with me, and soon you will be able to express yourself in one of the oldest and most beautiful languages in the world.
Barev! Hey there! Please call me Shushi (although it is not my name) I am a native Armenian speaker. Although I study something not related to teaching Armenian it has always been my passion. When I was a schoolgirl, I was helping my friends from Russia to learn the Armenian alphabet. Since 2017, I have been working with diasporan Armenians who had moved to Armenia but could not speak the language. I was helping them to enrich their language skills in order to get integrated into Armenian society. I create my own materials that include readings, small audio lessons, and videos. Not to forget, the lessons will help you to gain an understanding of Armenian culture, history, literature, and traditions. During our lessons, we will look at the Armenian language as a unique cultural component that shapes the Armenian identity. So, don't forget to register for a trial lesson! I am waiting forward to meeting you! Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. **If you are interested in any specific topics, please let me know. I will try to add materials that you find interesting and worth sharing.
Բարե՛ւ։ Parev! Hello! I am Armenian Lebanese born and raised in Beirut, one of the most multicultural cities in the region, which is why I grew speaking four languages (Armenian, Arabic, French and English), Armenian being my native one. I’ve found my passion in life: keep Armenian, specifically Western, alive. This is why, after having my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I decided to follow a Normal Teaching Diploma program, where I learned methods of teaching a language. While doing this program I interned in an Armenian school in Lebanon, as an Armenian language, literature and history teacher. I also have 2 years of experience in teaching Western Armenian online. Recently I moved to Armenia, where I enrolled in a masters program: Armenian Studies (Language, literature, history and culture). I believe that a teacher must have these three types of knowledges: Pedagogical (teaching techniques), content (Armenian language professional knowledge) and technological knowledge. In my teaching I use a variety of methods according to the need and preference of my student. I usually teach the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) simultaneously, however, it is my student’s choice which skill he wants to prioritise. I believe homework is a big part of learning a language; I give fun to do and challenging homework to my students, in order to check their understanding, and make the lessons more effective. The student should take part in preparing his lessons, this is why I’m open for any kind of change in the teaching process. I teach western armenian. What's WESTERN Armenian? Armenian Language exists since the 5th century, over the centuries dialects were created and in the 17th century the language was divided into two branches: Western and Eastern. A big part of Armenian diaspora speaks western armenian. One of the biggest challenges of this diaspora is the risk of the extinction of Western Armenian (stated as a “Definitely Endangered Language” by UNESCO). Contact me if you’re ready to make this challenge yours. Start communicating in Western Armenian with your Armenian speaking families, friends… and me!
As a Master of pedagogy, I’ve found that my passion for teaching has only grown with every year. Helping students or just people who want to learn and achieve their goals never gets old. So I have dedicated my career to helping students of all levels master the Armenian (also English, if anyone is interested) skills they need to go on to college and everyday life beyond high school and would love to continue that path with verbling.com to know and to help many other people from all over the world.
